Policy & Advocacy
Our advocacy work is entirely guided by the voices and experiences of system-impacted families right here in Philadelphia. We approach advocacy on multiple levels — from community education and policy or practice reform (including abolition) to political advocacy and nurturing local activists who lead change within their own communities. Whether you want to join one aspect of this work or get involved in it all, we welcome you. Reach out to us at info@thephillyvoice.org or connect directly through our website at PhillyVoiceForChange.org.

Healing & Wellness
Our Peer Support is offered in several meaningful ways. Through our Family Aligned Mentorship (F.A.M.) Program, we pair families currently navigating the family policing, carceral, and treatment systems with families who have successfully made it through those same systems. Philly Voice also hosts community healing circles to address the trauma caused by these systems and offers monthly community law clinics to help families resolve legal issues in real time. In addition, we focus on pooling community resources so that no one has to rely on punitive systems for support that comes with surveillance or control.
