Mother’s Outreach Network is a constituent-driven nonprofit advocacy organization that tackles the root causes of poverty by advancing the inclusion, rights, and empowerment of Black mothers impacted by family policing child welfare systems and economic injustice. Our practice includes mobilizing impacted Black mothers, individual legal representation, research, know your rights civic engagement, and policy advocacy.

Policy & Advocacy
We run campaigns that build the power of the moms we organize and allies to construct systems of support, that achieve family and economic justice. The campaigns include: poverty is not neglect legislative advocacy; a guaranteed right to counsel at the pre-petition phase; elimination of dv and inadequate supervision as bases for neglect and more; on the economic justice side, a guaranteed income, and fiscal and appropriations accountability.
