About

The MJCF: Coalition is a Black-led advocacy organization that protects families navigating the child-welfare system through three integrated lanes: Education & Capacity-Building, Policy & Systems Change, and Community Power & Storytelling.

Support

  • Policy & Advocacy

The Coalition's Family Advocacy Program—a dedicated initiative offering community-based doula services and vital advocacy for individuals and families navigating the family policing industry. We work to educate, empower, and advocate for families facing unjust government intervention, forced separation, and systemic barriers to reunification. Equipping families with the tools, knowledge, and support needed to navigate complex child welfare cases—while pushing for policies that center family preservation, racial justice, and community healing. Through this program, we are not only supporting families—we are building a movement that protects them, uplifts their stories, and fights for their right to remain whole.

  • Healing & Wellness

In March 2025, the MJCF: Coalition launched "Letters to Stolen Loved Ones"—a national writing project that offers parents and relatives a sacred space to speak their truth. At its heart, this project is a reclamation of voice, memory, and connection for those impacted by the child welfare system. Parents write letters to the children who were taken from them—whether through forced adoption, CPS intervention, or the broader family policing system. These are not letters of closure, but of love, grief, resistance, and truth.
