About

Blessings In Transformation seeks to abolish the family policing system by advancing policies that divest from systems of criminalization while building community-based alternatives to state intervention. We provide holistic, parent-led advocacy, pre-petition support, and rapid response resource assistance to families in New York State.

    We are dedicated to organizing, campaigning, and lobbying for laws and policies that reduce the reach of the family policing system, and empower low-income, Black and Brown families. We seek to build relationships, capacity, and infrastructure among grassroots organizers and impacted people all across New York State.

  • Mutual Aid

    We can provide certain, one-time, rapid response supports to stabilize families in crisis and avoid family policing involvement, including but not limited to: groceries, personal essentials, and clothing; housing and rent support; referrals for mental health, drug treatment, and domestic violence programs.
